Adel Luzuriaga
Adel Luzuriaga is the founder and CEO of nextBlock.com. She is the 'visionary
heart' of the company.
As a 'small' business owner and housing provider in the Glendale community for many years, Adel identifies with neighborhood business owners and the issues they face to survive - to thrive - in the midst of competition, taxes and business regulations.
As an active civic volunteer, a property owner and long time resident of Glendale, she is cognizant of the importance of keeping the vitality of local business - to help maintain quality of life and to support public services for its residents.

Adel's civic activities include serving as president of Kiwanis Fil-Am Club (2004-05). She serves on the board of the American Red Cross Glendale Chapter, the Foothill Apartment Owners Association and The Character & Ethics Project. She has served as vice president of Public Affairs for the Glendale Chamber of Commerce, the Kiwanis Club of Glendale, and as a District Chairperson for the Verdugo Hills Council Boy Scouts of America (VHBSA). She is a recipient of the VHBSA Distinguished Citizen award. She is past president and continues to be an enthusiastic member of the Glendale Executive Toastmasters Breakfast Club.
Adel entered the real estate business determined to attain financial independence. She holds a CCIM designation (Certified Commercial-Investment Member), a prestigious title awarded to commercial investment specialists who draw from market experience and advanced education to help clients analyze and meet their investment goals and objectives. She served as President of the Glendale Association of Realtors, and is a recipient of the "Realtor of the Year" award. She is also a noteworthy past president of the Women's Council of Realtors.
Prior to immigrating to the US from the Philippines, she resided in Madrid, Spain to learn the Spanish culture and language. Adel's various interests include travel, tennis, skiing, bicycling, reading, metaphysical studies, dancing, and breeding & racing thoroughbred horses. She is a four-time finisher of the LA Marathon, the last one in 2006.
Adrian Holloway
Adrian
Holloway is a principal partner and Chief Operations Officer of nextBlock.com. He is the 'technology brain' of the company.
Adrian is responsible for the analysis and design of the system architecture of nextBlock.com - to deliver internet presence to 'small' business owners, their products and services, without the cost and hassle of maintaining their own websites.
His education and certification include, but are not limited to:
- BS (CS) in Computer Science, Bangalore University, 1995
- Masters Diploma in Software Engineering, Applied Technology, 1996
- Microsoft Certified Professional - 1998, 1999
Adrian started as an intern in a software company in India and UK (England) where he was promoted from junior programmer to project manager in 2 1/2 years.
After consulting in the Middle East & South East Asia, he took up an assignment in California as Director of Technology/Business Development for a multi-million dollar consulting firm where he managed offshore projects, oversaw production and resolved technical issues. He then moved to an International entertainment services company as Chief Technology Officer where he managed IT operations and developed its network infrastructure for 6 worldwide locations, helping transform the company into an Application Service Provider.
Adrian serves on the board of Tekcetera, Inc. - a Technology Solutions Company. He is the company's CTO/COO.
Throughout his career, Adrian has built a reputation for:
- Developing technology to solve strategic business problems.
- Delivering tangible ROI on strategic outsourcing, vendor management.
- Restructuring IT departments for higher efficiency and risk management.
- Developing software products, Web-based operations.
- Designing systems architecture and infrastructure.
- Refining and implementing a company's Technology vision, dovetailing technology with business agendas.
- Multi-million dollar budget control; multi-national team building and work allocation.
Adrian hails from India and lives in Glendale, California with his wife Michele. His various interests include travel, tennis, skiing, running, reading and music.
Adrienne Boswell
Adrienne Boswell is nextBlock.com's developer, and is proud to say that nexblock.com
meets with all WAI 2.0 guidelines.
Adrienne was born in Seattle Washington at Madigan Army Hospital. Her father was a captain in the US Army, and was later stationed in Germany with his family as a major. Adrienne and her mother returned to the US when she was 6, and she lived with her mother until her mother died when she was 15.
Adrienne graduated from Immaculate Heart High School in Hollywood, and attended Santa Monica College. She worked as a answering service operator for three years, and worked in the stock brokerage business for 15 years. During that time, she was the communications manager for Kennedy Cabot, Cantor Fitzgerald, and the Beverly Hills office of Dean Witter.
With her telecommunications experience, the Internet was the next big step, and Adrienne began her career in web site design and development.
Adrienne started working for nextBlock in 2001, and left for three years to do two things:
- Have a wonderful son in 2003
- Sharpen her skills in her craft
Adrienne is a member of the International Web Masters Association and a respected contributor to several web design and development news groups. She was also a featured in ASP101.com for her Required Fields Sample Form. Adrienne likes to share her knowledge and has tips and tricks available at Arbpen Designs - A Cavalcade of Coding.
Adrienne lives in Glendale with her son, Spane Anthony Boswell, and is active in her church and community. Adrienne enjoys cooking, entertaining, and of course, the Internet.
